Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Lee Tae-ho will attend an opening ceremony of the 2019 Korean Community Leaders Convention to be held on October 2, 2019.

In his congratulatory remarks at the annual event for overseas Koreans in conjunction with a ceremony marking All Koreans Day (October 5), Vice Minister Lee will extend his appreciation to the overseas Korean community leaders for their efforts made for unity and development of the Korean communities, and ask for the communities’ support and encouragement for peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula.

Minister Kang Kyung-wha, together with the Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, will hold the 7^th ROK-Mexico High-Level Policy Consultation on October 4.

In the meeting, the two sides will share views on the major issues on the Korean Peninsula and in the region as well as the cooperation in MIKTA.
