Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Lee Tae-ho will attend and deliver opening remarks at the “Roundtable on the Future of North-East Asia Clean Air Partnership” on Thursday, July 4.

At the upcoming Roundtable, international experts in air quality from Northeast Asia and the European Union (EU) will discuss ways to develop policies based on results of scientific and technological research in order to respond jointly to fine dust at the regional level.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expects the forthcoming meeting to serve as an opportunity to explore the possibility of holding regular discussions on joint responses to fine dust in Northeast Asia.
