In addition, efforts are being made to hold bilateral meetings between Minister Kang and other participants in the Ministerial, including US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Moving on to the next topic, Vice Foreign Minister Lee Tae-ho will meet with Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Natalia Kanem at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 13.
The two sides will discuss a range of issues, including the opening of the UNFPA office in the ROK (Feb. 13), and ways to step up cooperation between the ROK and the UNFPA.
The Executive Director’s visit to the ROK marks her second visit following the first one in 2017. During her visit, the UNFPA delegation will make a courtesy visit to the Foreign Ministry, and attend the opening ceremony of the UNFPA office in the ROK.
