Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

A retirement ceremony will take place at the reception hall on the 18^th floor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building on January 29 for 29 former Foreign Ministry officials who retired in the second half of the year 2018.

The 29 retirees include former Ambassadors to the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Kingdom of Spain and the United Mexican States.

At the event, Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will present in person commendations and extend appreciation to retirees for their dedication to diplomacy and serving national interests.
