Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

First, Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will attend the 1st Republic of Korea-Russian Federation forum for provincial cooperation, to be held in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, on November 8, and hold a separate meeting with Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East Alexander Kozlov.

Moving on to the next topic, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyun will hold the 10th ROK-Islamic Republic of Pakistan vice ministerial-level policy consultation with Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Tehmina Janjua at the Foreign Ministry on November 7.

The two sides will discuss ways to step up substantive cooperation between the two countries in a range of areas, including political and economic affairs, and development cooperation.

They will also exchange views on the situations on the Korean Peninsula and in the region, as well as ways the two countries can work together on the global stage.
