Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will host a luncheon for Korean community leaders on October 5 on the occasion of the “2018 World Korean Community Leaders Convention,” to be held in Seoul from October 3 till 6.

In her remarks at the luncheon, Minister Kang will offer words of encouragement to Korean community leaders, who have dedicated themselves to the development of their homeland and local Korean communities, and ask for the Korean communities’ interest and support to establish a lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.
