1. The Korean government expresses grave concern at the appalling reports of numerous civilian casualties in Myanmar.

2. The Korean government condemns use of violence by the military and police forces of Myanmar against civilians who demand democracy, and strongly calls on the authorities to immediately stop such use of force.

3. The Korean government along with the international community will closely watch the situation in Myanmar and consider measures to take in response to developments in Myanmar.
