1. An “ROK-China research forum on public diplomacy” and an “ROK-Japan expert seminar” will take place on October 15 and 17, respectively, in order to expand the foundation of public diplomacy platforms in Northeast Asia driven by the private sector in the post-COVID-19 era.

° At the 8^th ROK-China research forum on public diplomacy, which will be co-hosted by Sungkyun Institute of China Studies at Sungkyunkwan University and the School of International and Public Affairs at Jilin University, the participants will share experiences of the ROK and China in COVID-19 prevention and control and discuss ways for cooperation in Northeast Asia as well as the role of public diplomacy in promoting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.

° At the expert seminar on the ROK-Japan relations, which will be co-hosted by the Korea-Japan Future Forum and the Center for Korean Studies at the University of Tokyo, experts of the two countries will discuss solutions to issues regarding the ROK-Japan relations and the direction for the future-oriented development of the bilateral relations.

2. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will sponsor the forthcoming events in order to promote public diplomacy toward China and Japan with the private sector, and the Ambassador for Public Diplomacy will attend the events and deliver congratulatory remarks.

3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to promote two-way public diplomacy in which experts at home and abroad can cooperate in an effort to develop friendly and cooperative relations in Northeast Asia.
