1. The government of the Republic of Korea welcomes that the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Taliban began intra-Afghan negotiations in Doha, the State of Qatar, on September 12 to discuss their permanent ceasefire as well as a future political roadmap of Afghanistan.

2. The ROK government hopes that substantive outcome will be produced from the negotiations and thereby pave the way for building peace and prosperity in Afghanistan and the region.

3. The ROK government will continue to take part in the international community’s efforts to establish stability and peace in Afghanistan.
