1. Amb. Lee Do-hoon, Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, had a telephone consultation with Mr. Shigeki Takizaki, Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, on the morning of April 8, and shared their assessments of the current situation on the Korean Peninsula.

2. The two sides agreed to continue close communication and cooperation on North Korea issues between the Republic of Korea and Japan and among the ROK, the United States, and Japan, while making active efforts to stop and tackle the spread of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
