1. The government of the Republic of Korea (ROK) strongly protests that in the foreign policy speech delivered by the Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs at the Japanese Diet on January 20, the Japanese government reiterated unjust claims to Dokdo, an integral part of the ROK territory. The ROK government demands an immediate withdrawal of the claims.

2. Dokdo is clearly an integral part of the ROK territory in terms of history, geography and international law. Therefore, the ROK government urges the Japanese government to immediately stop futile attempts over Dokdo and to squarely face history in a humble manner.
