1. The government of the Republic of Korea welcomes Venezuela’s interim President Juan Guaidó’s re-election as speaker of the National Assembly on January 5, 2020, and continues to support him.

2. The ROK government hopes that free and fair presidential and parliamentary elections will be held under the leadership of interim President Guaidó and that democracy will be restored in Venezuela as early as possible.

3. The ROK government will continue to pay attention to the resolution of the humanitarian crisis facing the people of Venezuela, and actively participate in the international community’s joint efforts.
