1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Institute for National Security Strategy, will host the “2019 International Conference on Emerging Security Threats” in Seoul on December 2.
2. The conference, themed “Emerging Security Threats in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution: Challenges and Global Cooperation,” will consist of two sessions. The participants will share views on paradigm shift in national security of the future and explore the directions of emerging security threats and international cooperation.
3. The
conference, which will bring together eminent experts from home and abroad, is
expected to serve as an opportunity to share individual countries’ policies and
best practices in responding to increasing emerging security threats, including
cybersecurity and terrorist use of new technologies, and to build networks
among experts in the field from public and private sectors.
