1. At the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha, Mr. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Korea (ROK) on December 4-5, 2019.

2. In their meeting, Minister Kang and State Councilor Wang will exchange in-depth views on various topics, including the ROK-China relations, the situation on the Korean Peninsula, and regional and global issues.

3. State Councilor Wang’s official visit to the ROK, his first in five years since 2014, is expected to serve as an opportunity to step up communication between the two countries’ diplomatic authorities toward fresh advances in the bilateral relations and thereby to make more substantial progress in the ROK-China strategic cooperative partnership.
