1. “The Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Forum 2019” will take place at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul on November 5-6, co-hosted by the Sejong Institute and the Jeju Peace Institute with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

° The forthcoming Forum themed “Peace and Prosperity in Northeast Asia: Connecting the Korean Peninsula to Northeast Asia” will cover ways to promote multilateral cooperation in Northeast Asia toward peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and in the region.

2. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold an inter-governmental consultation among delegates of Forum-attending governments and international organizations on November 5. The event will be chaired by Chancellor of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy Kim Joon-hyung and cover ways to establish an order of peace and cooperation in Northeast Asia and promote multilateral cooperation in the region.

3. The upcoming Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Forum and inter-governmental consultation are expected to serve as an opportunity to discuss the situation and developments on the Korean Peninsula over the past year and seek tangible cooperation between countries in Northeast Asia toward sustainable peace and prosperity in the region.
