1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold the 10^th round of the Workshop for the Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Korea (ROK) on October 21-26 to enhance their understanding of and bond with the ROK.

2. The 15 honorary consuls invited from 15 countries to this year’s Workshop will take part in diverse activities, such as a seminar on the role of the overseas honorary consuls, visits to SK T.um and other industrial facilities, and first-hand experience of Korean culture. These activities will provide them with an opportunity to extensively understand various aspects of the ROK, including political affairs, economy, society and culture.

3. The Workshop for the Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Korea was first held in 2010, this year’s round marking the 10^th. The event is expected to help increase the number of people with favorable views toward the ROK around the world, strengthen the ROK government’s diplomatic capacity, including for the protection of the overseas Koreans, and promote substantive cooperation between the ROK and the host countries of the overseas honorary consuls.
