1. The government of the Republic of Korea (ROK) expresses deep regret over the fact that leaders of the government and the National Diet of Japan have once again sent offerings to and paid respects at the Yasukuni Shrine, which glorifies Japan’s history of war of aggression.

2. The ROK government once again points out that only when responsible leaders of Japan demonstrate through action their sincere reflection and remorse for Japan’s past history, can Japan contribute to the future-oriented development of the ROK-Japan relations and win trust from its neighboring countries and the international community.
