1. With regard to the situation that arose in Turkey on July 15, local time, the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Korea has issued a special travel alert for entire Turkey, effective from 14:30, July 16.

° The special travel alert will be in effect for two weeks until July 29, after which the advisory will be lifted or extended, depending on the situation in Turkey.

° The special travel alert replaces all the other travel alerts for Turkey.

2. The nationals of the Republic of Korea visiting or residing in Turkey are advised to leave the country unless they have urgent matters to attend to. Those nationals planning to visit the country are advised to cancel or postpone their plans if possible.
