First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Tae-yong, together with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Nasser Judeh of Jordan, signed the Republic of Korea-Jordan agreement on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports on September 11. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the heads of state of the two countries after their summit talks, held during the visit of King Abdullah II to the ROK.

* The agreement will be brought into force on the 30th day from the day the two countries receive each other’s written notices on their completion of necessary domestic procedures for its effectuation.

3. The agreement is expected to facilitate visits of the two countries’ diplomats to each other’s countries, and thereby help increase mutual exchanges and further tighten the bilateral diplomatic relations.
