1. Cho Hyun, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Austria, and Roland Sauer, the Deputy Minister of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection, will sign a joint statement on the ROK-Austria working holiday program in Austria on July 5.

o Austria is the 15th country to sign an agreement on working holiday program with the ROK.

2. Under the ROK-Austria working holiday program, young people in Korea and Austria can work or travel in the other country for up to 6 months, and experience language and culture.

o Through such exchanges, Korean and Austrian young people, who are future leaders of the two countries, will be able to better understand the other country, laying the groundwork for developing future-oriented bilateral relations.

3. The Foreign Ministry will continue to sign an agreement on working holiday program with other countries to nurture global talents and provide more youngsters an opportunity to gain foreign experience.
