1. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jong Kun will visit Washington, D.C., the United States, from September 9 to 11, and hold a consultation with Deputy Secretary of State of the United States Stephen Biegun, on September 10 at the latter’s invitation.

2. Vice Minister Choi and Deputy Secretary Biegun had their first phone conversation last week (Sep. 2) and agreed to meet as early as possible. In the upcoming consultation, the two sides will extensively discuss issues of mutual interest, including the overall ROK-U.S. relations and regional affairs.
