1. Amb. Lee Do-hoon, Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, had a telephone consultation with Mr. Takizaki Shigeki, Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, on the afternoon of September 4.

° The two sides shared their assessments of the current situation on the Korean Peninsula and agreed to continue cooperation on North Korea issues.

2. Prior to the aforementioned consultation, Amb. Lee had a telephone consultation with Amb. Kent Härstedt, Swedish Special Envoy for the Korean Peninsula, on September 1, and shared their assessments of the current situation on the Korean Peninsula.
