1. The government of the Republic of Korea expresses deep disappointment and regret over the fact that Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe once again sent an offering to the Yasukuni Shrine, a symbolic facility which glorifies Japan’s history of colonial rule and war of aggression.

2. The ROK government strongly urges the leaders of Japan to show their will to improve the ROK-Japan relations by squarely facing history and demonstrating through action their humble reflection and sincere remorse for Japan’s past history.
