FM Meets with CEO of American Jewish Committee
1. Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang Kyung-wha met with Chief Executive Officer of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) David Harris on the afternoon of April 24, and exchanged views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula, the Republic of Korea-United States alliance, and the ROK-State of Israel relations.

Minister Kang explained the current situation on the Korean Peninsula and the ROK government’s efforts, and requested the attention and cooperation of the AJC, an influential organization in the US, to continue to advance the ROK-US alliance, which is a foundation of the ROK’s foreign and security policy as well as a linchpin of peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

Chief Executive Officer Harris voiced hope that the ROK government’s efforts towards peace on the Korean Peninsula would bear fruit, and said that the AJC would continue to maintain close relations with the ROK and the Korean community in the US, and actively support the development of the ROK-US alliance.
