Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha, in Singapore to attend ASEAN-related Foreign Ministers’ Meetings, met with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo of the U.S. from 8:20 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. on August 4 and shared assessments of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and conducted talks on a broad range of bilateral issues.

Meeting two weeks after their bilateral meeting in New York on July 20, the top diplomats shared notes on developments on the Korean Peninsula and held in-depth discussions on ROK-U.S. cooperative measures to accelerate the implementation of points agreed upon during the inter-Korean and U.S.-North Korea summits.
