Foreign Minister Kang Kyungwha held the first telephone conversation with the U.S. Secretary of State Mike PomPeo on April 28.

Minister Kang explained the results of the inter-Korean summit and discussed plans for a ROK-U.S. summit.

They both agreed on the need for close cooperation for the success of the upcoming US-North Korea summit and the resolution of the North Korean nuclear issues.
