The fourth ROK-US Energy Security Dialogue was held in Seoul on June 28, with Director-General for Climate Change and Environmental Affairs Lee Hyung-jong of the ROK Foreign Ministry and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Diplomacy Robin Dunnigan of the US Department of State leading their respective delegations.

In the meeting, held for the first time since the inauguration of the new governments in the ROK and the US, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest, including the ROK and US governments’ energy and climate change policies; ways to cooperate in the areas of clean energy, petroleum and gas; cooperation on energy security in Northeast Asia; and global energy governance.
